Cold email agency pricing in India (2026): what $599 to $1,499 a month actually buys

Short answer: Published monthly retainers from cold email agencies in India run from $599 to $1,499 a month in 2026. That is the range this article uses throughout: setup-only work is a one-time fee on top or instead, and pay-per-meeting is priced per meeting, not per month. In detail, agencies serving Indian companies charge in four ways. A one-time infrastructure setup runs from $499 (Digital Patron). Monthly retainers published by Indian agencies run from ₹50,000 plus GST (Modern Inbound, segmented copy) and $800 a month (Digital Patron, two-month minimum) to ₹75,000 (ClientMagnet, Modern Inbound personalised), $949 (Blueberg) and $999 to $1,499 (LeadShuttle). Pay-per-meeting starts at $150 to $300 a meeting (LeadShuttle). Fully managed AI SDR outbound is the same $800 a month, two-month minimum, no setup fee at Digital Patron. Tool seats, data credits and mailboxes are usually billed on top, and Indian clients pay GST.

Every external figure in this article is quoted from the agency's own pricing page or a named, dated pricing guide, as checked on 14 October 2026. Where no Indian agency publishes a price for a model, we say so instead of guessing. Sources are listed at the end. We are a cold email agency ourselves, based in Gurugram and Mohali, so read our own prices as a vendor's prices and compare them against the others here.

What drives the price

Two agencies quoting the same monthly fee can be selling very different amounts of work. Six line items explain almost all of the difference:

  • Infrastructure. Secondary domains, mailboxes, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, warm-up and monitoring. This is the cheapest part in cash terms (Smartlead's October 2026 guide puts a mailbox at $6 to $12 a month and a domain at $10 to $15 a year) and the most expensive part to get wrong, because a burned primary domain costs you deliverability on every email your company sends. Some agencies own the infrastructure; others, like Modern Inbound, buy it in your name and have you pay the provider directly ($99 a month for mailboxes, $150 a year for domains, per its site).
  • Data. List building, enrichment and verification. Smartlead's guide puts data at $200 to $1,000 a month depending on volume and source. Agencies that "include data" usually cap contacts per month: ClientMagnet's ₹75,000 Pipeline Starter covers up to 500 contacts, Blueberg's $949 Launchpad up to 1,000 prospects, LeadShuttle's $999 Email Focus 1,500 email contacts.
  • Copy. A single sequence for one persona is the base case. Multiple personas, multiple segments or hand-written first lines cost more: Modern Inbound charges ₹50,000 plus GST for segmented copy and ₹75,000 plus GST for personalised copy, a 50% premium for the same sending volume.
  • Reply handling. Someone has to read every reply, answer objections, chase the "circle back next quarter" replies and book the meeting. Digital Patron's $800 a month done-for-you outbound includes reply handling; the LinkedIn add-on is scoped on the call.
  • LinkedIn add-on. Hitting the same decision-maker by email and on LinkedIn lifts replies, but it needs a Sales Navigator seat and a person or agent working the inbox. LeadShuttle prices the difference openly: $999 a month for email only or LinkedIn only, $1,499 for both.
  • Tool seats. The sending platform (Instantly, Smartlead), the data platform (Apollo, Clay) and the verification tool are usually pass-throughs. BounceZero's July 2026 guide says plainly that "the retainer usually excludes the data and tool costs, which are passed through"; ClientMagnet's site says "tool, software, and ad-spend costs are billed to you directly".

The four pricing models, with published ranges

ModelPublished Indian agency pricesPublished global ranges (2026 guides)What you are paying for
Setup only (one-time)Digital Patron from $499. ClientMagnet and Blueberg charge no setup fee on their retainer plans. LeadShuttle lists a $999 setup fee on its pay-per-meeting plan only.$500–$2,000 (BounceZero); $1,500–$5,000 onboarding (Smartlead)Domains, mailboxes, authentication records, warm-up. You run the campaigns yourself afterwards.
Monthly retainer₹50,000 + GST ($599) and ₹75,000 + GST ($899), billed quarterly (Modern Inbound); $800/mo, 2-month minimum, no setup fee (Digital Patron done-for-you outbound); ₹75,000 excl. GST, 90-day initial term (ClientMagnet); $949 + tax, no lock-in (Blueberg); $999–$1,499/mo (LeadShuttle)$2,500–$10,000/mo, most B2B programmes $3,000–$7,000 (Smartlead); $1,000–$2,000 entry to $6,000–$10,000+ enterprise (BounceZero). Modern Inbound's India guide: freelancers ₹15,000–₹40,000, small agencies ₹40,000–₹80,000, mid-size ₹80,000–₹1,20,000, full managed ₹1,50,000+A fixed scope of contacts, mailboxes and sequences each month, whether or not meetings land.
Pay-per-meeting$150–$300 per meeting with a $999 setup fee (LeadShuttle). We found no other Indian agency publishing a per-meeting price.$200–$700 per booked meeting (Smartlead); $200–$500 per qualified meeting (BounceZero)Only meetings that match the agreed definition. The definition is the contract.
Hybrid (base + per meeting)No Indian agency we checked publishes a hybrid price.$3,000–$5,000/mo base plus $250–$500 per meeting (Smartlead); base of $500–$1,500/mo to cover tool costs plus per-meeting fees (BounceZero)A smaller retainer that covers tools and data, with the agency's margin tied to meetings.
Managed AI SDR engine$800/mo, 2-month minimum, no setup fee (Digital Patron AI Outreach Engine, the same done-for-you outbound plan)Most agencies do not publish prices for this model.Email plus LinkedIn run by AI agents and a team, with list, deliverability, replies and booked calls included.

Two things stand out. First, Indian retainers sit below the global guides by roughly three to one: the $3,000 to $7,000 that Smartlead calls typical for a B2B programme buys three to five months of a published Indian retainer. Second, almost nobody in India publishes pay-per-meeting or hybrid pricing. If an Indian agency quotes you a per-meeting rate, you are negotiating from scratch, so get the meeting definition, the no-show rule and the cap in writing before you compare numbers.

Digital Patron's published prices

These are the prices on our site as of 14 October 2026. All are in US dollars; Indian clients are invoiced in INR with GST. Tool seats and data credits are additional on every plan unless the plan says otherwise.

  • Infrastructure setup: from $499, one-time. Secondary domains, mailboxes, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, warm-up and a deliverability check. For teams that will run their own campaigns. See email deliverability.
  • Digital Patron done-for-you outbound (cold email and AI SDR): $800 a month, two-month minimum, no setup fee. ICP lists, sending domains and mailboxes, SPF, DKIM and DMARC and warm-up, copy, sequences and reply handling, with meetings booked into your calendar; the LinkedIn add-on is scoped on the call. Roughly 2,000 enriched leads a month and CRM sync. Sold as the AI Outreach Engine: AI agents build the list, write first touches, run follow-ups and sort replies, and our team reviews every qualified reply. The booked-meeting range on our pricing page (8 to 14 a month) is a planning range, not a guarantee. See our cold email agency in India.

For context on who those prices have served: we have run cold email for 130+ B2B companies, 50+ IT consultancies, 70+ SaaS startups and 10+ staffing firms, and the founders have run outbound for five years. One documented Instantly campaign sent 7K emails at a 74.7% open rate and a 17.8% reply rate, producing 136 opportunities and $308,550 in pipeline. That is one campaign, not an average; results depend on the list, the offer and the market.

Is $800 a month for cold email outreach worth it for a small business?

Verdict: yes, if one closed deal is worth more than about $1,600 in gross profit to you and someone on your side can take sales calls; no, if your average deal is small or you cannot say who your buyer is. Digital Patron's $800 plan (2-month minimum, no setup fee) commits you to $1,600 before you can judge it, so the test is whether two months of outbound is likely to produce enough closed business to cover that. The maths below uses labelled assumptions; replace them with your own numbers.

The break-even formula

  • Commitment (C): $800 × 2 months = $1,600, plus any tool seats or data credits your plan bills on top (T).
  • Gross profit per deal (G): your average first-year deal value (D) × your gross margin (m).
  • Deals needed to break even: (C + T) ÷ G.
  • Held meetings needed: deals needed ÷ your close rate from held meeting to signed deal (r).
Assumption (example only)Example A: B2B service or softwareExample B: small-ticket offer
Average first-year deal value (D)$6,000$1,000
Gross margin (m)50%40%
Gross profit per deal (G = D × m)$3,000$400
Two-month cost (C + T, with T assumed at $200)$1,800$1,800
Deals to break even ((C + T) ÷ G)0.6, so one deal4.5, so five deals
Close rate from held meeting (r)10%10%
Held meetings needed over two months6 (about 3 a month)45 (about 23 a month)

In Example A, one signed deal pays for the whole minimum term, and about three held meetings a month at a 10% close rate gets you there. In Example B, you would need far more meetings than any email-first programme should be planned on, so $800 a month is not worth it; a cheaper DIY setup or a different channel is the better buy. For reference, the 8 to 14 booked meetings a month on our pricing page is a planning range, not a guarantee, and booked meetings are not all held meetings.

Three things change the answer more than the price does: whether your list is a real ICP rather than "any company", whether your offer gives a buyer a reason to reply now, and whether replies get answered within the hour. If you are unsure about any of the three, a free outbound audit is cheaper than a two-month test.

Typical monthly cost: deliverability setup + campaign management

Every cold email programme pays for two things: deliverability (domains, mailboxes, authentication and warm-up, set up once and then kept running) and campaign management (lists, copy, sending, reply handling). Here is what each costs, using the figures already cited in this article.

Line itemTypical costSource
Deliverability setup (one-time)From $499 (Digital Patron setup-only); $500 to $2,000 (BounceZero); $1,500 to $5,000 onboarding (Smartlead); $0 inside Digital Patron's $800 plan and on ClientMagnet and Blueberg retainersAgency pages and guides listed under Sources
Mailboxes and domains (running)$6 to $12 per mailbox a month; $10 to $15 per domain a yearSmartlead guide
Sending platform seatFrom $39 a month (Smartlead Base) or $47 a month (Instantly Growth)Vendor pricing, checked 29 Oct 2026
Data and verification$200 to $1,000 a month at agency volumesSmartlead guide
Campaign management (monthly retainer)$599 to $1,499 a month at published Indian agency ratesModern Inbound, Digital Patron, ClientMagnet, Blueberg, LeadShuttle

Put together, a typical month looks like this. Running it yourself after a one-time setup costs roughly $250 to $1,100 a month in mailboxes, a sending seat and data, plus the hours of whoever writes the copy and answers replies. Hiring an Indian agency costs its $599 to $1,499 retainer plus whatever pass-throughs it bills on top. Digital Patron's done-for-you plan is $800 a month with sending domains, mailboxes, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, warm-up, copy, sequences and reply handling included and no setup fee; ask us which tool seats or data credits sit outside the plan for your volume, as you should ask any agency.

What is usually excluded from the monthly fee

Smartlead's guide estimates that a retainer "covers only 60 to 70% of the real spend", with domains, mailboxes, data and warm-up adding $500 to $2,000 a month, so that "the real cost of a $4,000 retainer is frequently $5,000 to $6,000 per month". The Indian pattern is the same at lower numbers. Before you sign, ask which of these are inside the fee:

  • Sending platform seat (Instantly, Smartlead): from $39 a month (Smartlead Base) and $47 a month (Instantly Growth), billed monthly; prices checked 29 Oct 2026
  • Data platform and credits (Apollo, Clay, verification): $200 to $1,000 a month at agency volumes, per Smartlead
  • Mailboxes and domains, especially where they are bought in your name
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator seat if LinkedIn is in scope
  • GST on INR invoices; most Indian agencies quote "plus GST" or "excluding GST"
  • Extra personas, segments or markets beyond the one in the base plan
  • CRM work beyond a basic sync
  • Paid media: cold email agencies do not run ads, and ad spend is always separate

Red flags in cheap quotes

  1. No mention of secondary domains. If the agency plans to send from your main domain, the quote is cheap because the deliverability risk is yours.
  2. "Unlimited" contacts or emails. Deliverability depends on per-mailbox volume limits. Unlimited means scraped lists and burned mailboxes.
  3. Guaranteed meetings or reply rates. Reply rates depend on the list, the offer and the market. Modern Inbound's page says "there are no guarantees and no refunds", and that is the honest position. We make no guarantees either.
  4. No definition of a "qualified" meeting on a pay-per-meeting quote. Without one you will pay for meetings with the wrong title, the wrong company size or a no-show.
  5. Setup fee that is not itemised. SalesBread's guide warns against "inflated setup fees" for a reason: setup is domains, mailboxes and records, and it should be priced like it.
  6. No reply-handling owner. A low fee that stops at "we send the emails and forward the replies" means interested buyers wait in an inbox while nobody follows up.
  7. Quarterly or annual billing with no exit. Minimum terms are normal (ours is two months on the $800 package; ClientMagnet's is 90 days), but a long term with no performance review clause is not.
  8. Tools in whose name? If the agency owns the domains, mailboxes and data, leaving means starting from zero.

How to pick a tier

If you already have a person who will write copy and handle replies, buy setup only and run the campaigns on your own Instantly or Smartlead seat. If you want one sequence to one persona and will handle replies yourself, a ₹50,000 to ₹75,000 package from an Indian agency is the right size. If you want replies handled, meetings booked and LinkedIn in the mix, budget $800 to $1,499 a month at Indian rates; Digital Patron's done-for-you outbound covers all of that at $800 a month, two-month minimum, no setup fee. If you need several personas, several markets or 12-plus meetings a month, Indian quotes climb into the ₹1,50,000-plus range that Modern Inbound's guide gives for full managed services; we scope that on the call rather than publishing a bigger tier. A free outbound audit is the quickest way to find out which option your list and offer can support, and our comparison of cold email agencies in India lists the alternatives.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a cold email agency cost in India?

Published Indian agency retainers run from ₹50,000 plus GST or $800 a month at the low end to ₹75,000, $949, $999 and $1,499 a month for managed email or email-plus-LinkedIn programmes. Setup-only work starts at $499. Digital Patron's done-for-you outbound (cold email and AI SDR) is $800 a month, two-month minimum, no setup fee. Modern Inbound's India guide puts freelancers at ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 and full managed services at ₹1,50,000 and above.

What does a cold email setup fee cover?

Secondary domains, mailboxes, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, warm-up and a deliverability check. Digital Patron charges from $499 one-time; BounceZero's guide puts the global range at $500 to $2,000 and Smartlead's at $1,500 to $5,000 for onboarding. ClientMagnet and Blueberg charge no setup fee on their retainer plans.

Is pay-per-meeting cheaper than a retainer?

Per meeting, often not. LeadShuttle's $150 to $300 per meeting comes with a $999 setup fee; global guides put pay-per-meeting at $200 to $700. A $800 to $999 retainer that produces five meetings costs $160 to $200 each. Pay-per-meeting shifts risk to the agency, which is why it is priced higher per meeting and why almost no Indian agency publishes it.

Are tool seats and data included in the monthly fee?

Usually not. BounceZero and ClientMagnet both state that tools and data are passed through or billed directly; Modern Inbound has clients pay the mailbox and domain provider. Digital Patron bills tool seats and data credits in addition to the plan. Ask for the list of pass-throughs before comparing retainers.

Why are Indian cold email agencies cheaper than US ones?

Labour cost. The sending tools, data platforms and mailboxes cost the same in both countries, which is why pass-through costs matter more in an Indian quote: a $100 Apollo seat is a larger share of an $800 retainer than of a $5,000 one.

Does Digital Patron invoice in INR?

Yes. Prices are published in US dollars; Indian clients are invoiced in INR with GST. International clients are invoiced in USD. Offices are in Gurugram and Mohali; clients elsewhere work with us over video calls.
